I’ve discussed Gil Thorp and its snarky fan-blog This Week in Milford before. I apparently managed to briefly set a trend on said blog in terms of signatures.
A bit of context: For some reason, one of the characters currently in the strip is 6 feet, 9 inches tall. For some reason, the comic continually refers to him as “6-9 Jeff Ponczak”, as though the “6-9” were actually a part of his name. So in honor of this, well, take a look at how I signed comment #11 of today’s entry, then look at the signatures of the next 4 or so comments. This amuses me.

hey man was reading your Ys I guide on gamefaqs and saw you mentioned that you were having your 1 month anniversary with Jess. i got curious and looked up your gamefaqs name and found this site. great to see you still with jess and thanks for the great guide. i wish you and jess all the best in love and life.

@ Cameran: Thankfully, there aren’t a whole lot of other Emptyeyes on the Internet, and the ones that are there tend of stay out of my areas of interest (I know there’s one in Deviantart, for instance, but that’s fine, since artistic talent was decidedly not one of the things I was blessed with). So yeah, searching for “Emptyeye” tends to bring up at least something from this site, which is nice.
In any event, glad you found the site, and thanks for the well-wishes. I’ve had a number of people e-mail me with “Hey you probably don’t even use this e-mail address anymore but…” with the recent release of Ys I & II on the Virtual Console.
@James: And it worked fine after the fact, right? It was just, uh, chillin’ (Probably literally on some days) down there!
