Alright Empty.
I have to tell you, in a way I agree with your brother and Jamie. With all the systems you have to use against their will, why do you suddenly sell out and play those online.
As to storyline stuff, the Marvel Ultimate Alliance has a pretty good storyline, considering the bad freaks like to kick player 1's ass most. . . .
As to most other games? Haven't seen a change. But then, I'm not a video game whore. . . . . or something like that. . . . SO, I wouldn't be able to argue that point.

As to David's comment "Traitor! Just look at your AIM name!”, I tend to agree with him. PS2 and other predecessors rock harder than the 360. Better graphics does not always equal a better gaming experience!

I think I'm officially entrenched in the Gamecube/PS2 era as my main gaming focus. The shift towards online gaming, non-"story" games and especially the Wii has driven my interest back into the PC realm of gaming (oddly, because PC games are more online than anything). I may get a PS3 if God of War 3 comes out or some awesome strategy games. I'm really the odd man out since I don't like FPS games and the "skill" type games only appeal to me for a while. If I had my say, there would be Castlevania: SOTN games coming out all the time. 2-D platformers, strat, action, shooters--all awesome genres, all mostly neglected by this generation.

Interesting. The games that I think you're thinking of do tend to have "endings" at least in theory--there's always some sort of "Story Mode" or whatnot and you get some type of ending after you beat the hardest song or whatever. It kind of reminds me of the original SimCity, where you ave an ostensible "Goal" to make a city with a half-million SimCitizens, but you can keep playing after you reach that goal.

As for the XBOX, David said the same thing (Being a PS3 guy himself): "Traitor! Just look at your AIM name!" I'll remind both of you that what I have is technically not an XBOX, but an XBOX 360, which is <s>360 TIMES BIGGAR SO IT MUST BE 360 ROADS LOLOLOL</s> an entirely different system.

I was just reading a good article on CNet (I think) about the biggest change in this generation of games is the shift from story-based games with endings to games that are skill based and less "singular goal" oriented. I have to admit, I'm more of the older generation though I have a passing interest in the skill type games.

Also, knowing you own an XBOX is kind of funny in itself, just for the OVERSIZED ROAD jokes.
