Yeah, TV Tropes (Though it’s long since grown out of covering exclusively TV, obviously) in general is a great site that I look at more than I probably should.

Also, the Stop Having Fun Guy is a funny article–and way true! For a while, there was SHFG’s all over the F-Zero GX boards (these are also the guys who effectively ruin online play). It makes me wonder how Civ SHFG’s would react to your “conquor all GRAWWAAAA” method of playing.

I’m guessing that either A. Obama takes his image of Batman and Robin from pretty much anything other than the original source comics (Indeed, the various adaptations shows Robin as either the agreeable Yes-man to Batman, or simply absent altogether), or B. He’s smart enough to presume that most Americans probably do the same, and have no idea that the Dubya:McCain::Batman:Robin analogy really fails at its core given the implication he’s trying to make.

As for fake plastic instruments versus real ones, I won’t get into that.

What Obama should have made an analogy for was McCain as the Joker, since McCain picked a comically underqualified characature as a running mate ala the Penguin. Seriously, Palin is like Evil Hockey Mom, a hate filled conservative with time to make brownies for her bizarrely named redneck kids. Of course, I’m referring to the cool, campy Batman of the 60′s where in the end, they’d all end up dancing to hip surf music.

When I see people who have mastered the expert versions of say, Dragonforce songs on Rock Band/Guitar Hero games, I’m convinced the games are actually much harder to master than the actual guitar!
